New 40,000 square foot design/build performing arts center for the Village of South Orange, VNJ. This project was a joint venture between Seton Hall University and the Village of South Orange. It consisted of a 400 seat main live theater to be used by independent performers as well as the University. The project included five (5) movie theaters to be run by an independent theater operator in a lease agreement with the Village. The Village also has a multi-purpose room with a capacity of 150 occupants, complete with kitchen area and bathrooms.

The revenues from the operation of the movie theaters was used to offset the operating cost of the live theater and multi-purpose room, as well as the operational expenses of the entire performing arts complex. The HVAC systems consisted of rooftop, heat recovery type air conditioning units that use gas as the primary source of heat. The facility was fully sprinklered. The lighting and sound systems were designed in coordination with a Theatrical Consultant.
