PS 82R – Immaculate Conception School Conversion, Staten Island, NY – This $10,000,000 project involved the conversion of an existing parochial middle school to create a public school. DVL provided all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design for the complex project that had a demanding 12 month schedule and little background documentation on file. Existing field conditions created additional complexity due to problematic antiquated mechanical systems and pipe leakage. Design also had to be mindful of working around the existing, functional Immaculate Conception Church.
