DVL Consulting Engineers, Inc. was the Engineer of Record for this large project in Queens involving an addition to the PS 169Q school and a complete renovation of the existing school and conversion of educational spaces. The project included the demolition of the full existing kindergarten wing of the school and the creation of space for both kindergarten classrooms and Pre-K classes. This addition created space that almost doubled the student capacity of the school. DVL provided all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering to create new spaces and integrate the systems together.  All systems needed to be expanding and incoming utilities increased substantially to meet this significant increase in space and student population.
