This new 40,000 square foot design/build performing arts center was a joint venture between Seaton Hall University and the Village of South Orange.The South Orange Performing Arts Center has a 400 seat main live theater for independent performers as well as the University. The project included construction of five (5) movie theaters run by an independent theater operator in a lease agreement with the Village. Also constructed in the Village was multi-purpose room with a capacity of 150 occupants, complete with kitchen area and bathrooms. The HVAC systems consist of rooftop, heat recovery type air conditioning units that use gas as the primary source of heat. The facility is fully sprinklered. The lighting and sound systems were designed in coordination with a Theatrical Consultant.
